Braised Pork – Multiple Ways(Over Rice, Mashed Potatoes, or Nachos)

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs pork belly or pork shoulder
  • 1/2 cup Bali’s Best® Sweet Soy
  • 1 tsp Chabe® Sambal Chili Sauce
  • 2 shallots, pureed
  • 1 head of garlic, pureed
  • 2-inch piece of ginger, minced
  • 2 Tbsp white wine
  • 2 Tbsp vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp worcestershire sauce
  • 3 Tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Mix all the sauce ingredients in a bowl.
  2. Sear the pork in a pot or pressure cooker until browned.
  3. Add the sauce to the pot.
  4. Pressure cook for 30 minutes, then let the pressure release naturally. Or simmer on the stove for about 1hour, until the meat is tender.
  5. Serve over rice, mashed potatoes, buns or tortilla chips.
